little eddie

I think we are going to call him eddie - if I had a word for "little shit' he would be called that. He has been real hard work to keep him alive but I must say I have enjoyed it albeit exhausting. The night he was was born was all good. But we woke to a very weak and dehydrated calf. We rtried to put him on mum and she kept walking away. Eventually we put them in the cattle crush area and I milked mum and sryinged into baby every hour all day - OMG was I exhausted. went to bed at 8pm and woke at 7am to find eddie latched onto mum - yippee - my hard worked paid off. Not sure if he is out of woods yet as mum does not have alot of milk but hopefully that will get better.
He is so cute and the advantage of that process is that he is good to go and pat and mum lets us so the kids are loving it.

what a week

well where to start - last weekend steve went fishing for the whole weekend and had a great time with all his mates - have no photos and no fish as they ran out of ice to bring any home - oh well at least he can say he cought something this time - (well so he said)

Auntie Cheryl arrived on friday night for a quick weekend visit to organise her flower girl and her bridesmaid annie to have a fitting with her dress. We shopped all weekend for kirsty's dress and finally found one on Monday - Yes I know christine she should be honoured hey - Me shop all weekend not heard of and to make the deal better I had to drive all the way into TOWN like 5 times - I had to have the esky in the back with food and drinks -lol. Had a lovely weekend with my sister and she flew out on monday night

Woo hoo not long to the wedding now.

last sunday me and the girls went to the wharf to surprise Tracy for her birthday - she turned up at the wharf expecting to have a family dinner well there were just a few more than she expected. Christine made this lovely cake for her - very cool cake

Then on Thursday night I went to Wongabilla and had a BBQ and a few drinks for Karens birthday - she is my instructor their but we have all become good freinds so was nice to spend her birthday with her. I also grabbed the float from there ready for the next day.

Well today(friday ) is the day to pick up Crystal and Spirit. Karen and Tracy arrived at our home in the morning - we took Kirsty to school and off we went - took two hours to get there and they floated really well for two horses that havent done it very much.

We got home in good time dropped crystal off and kept going to drop off spirit with karen - Oh my what a long day but so exciting I gave the camera to ashley to take a photo of kirsty all excited when she got home and this is the photo she took

great photo ash

This is spirit with Karen

today Fiona (the lady who sold the horse) came around and spent the afternoon with Kirsty so they could have a ride and get to know the horse they had the best time and Kirsty has really done well and they are both bonding - it was fun to watch - Oh how exciting having a horse here.

new horse

Just a quick post as we are all so excited but i am exhausted - long day

MIA

well I am so sorry - been missing

what have we all been up too - well steve turned 40 and I am kicking myself as I left my camera in a freinds car and could not take any photos and the girls made him a cake and had it from head to toe - so yummy chocolate cake. We are organising a huge party on the 28th March to celebrate his 40th , and also Johnnys 60th and our housewarming. So I will make it up then.

We have been horse hunting for kirsty and have found a palimino which we are very excited about - the only problem at the moment is getting it off the owner - she has to sell but not wanting too - so every time we make an appointment to pick her up she changes the day - so I hope it all works out.

This is the worst you will ever see her - they pulled her out of the paddock and she was filthy dirty and has sap all through her hair - Just wait to you see her all prettied up.

tenting

well we had a normal week of school, work and creche. Nothing exciting to reveal there this week. Oh I lie - our house on Mcauly st sale finally went through after so many contract extensions - I am so glad that mortgage is gone - phew. No we can move on with what we want to do to our new home.

Yesterday we all got in together and cleaned the front verandah of all the boxes and cleaned it up really nice. (well as good as you can with pavers - oh I hate pavers) Alot of it was shed stuff and some for inside so it really just moved inside and now I have to find more spots but we are getting there.

Mum I have done about 4 more trailer loads of clipping since you have gone and i can see why you were having fun - it is great to get into the gardens and work out what is in there and neaten it all up.

After we cleaned we went to the football - sharks verses titans were playing in Darwin - woo hoo very good night although they did not cater for the huge crowds that turned up - thousands and thousands of people - would love to know how many were there.

Today we went to the pony club to have a look at what they do - looks like great fun and Kirsty and ashley will enjoy it very much - now to find a horse. We did look at one the other day that christine had emailed us - it looked promising - we will see.

When we got home from the pony club the girls decided to set uptent and play with visions of sleeping the night outside - they made it to 8pm and then they were tucked neatly in there beds - lol
