tenting

well we had a normal week of school, work and creche. Nothing exciting to reveal there this week. Oh I lie - our house on Mcauly st sale finally went through after so many contract extensions - I am so glad that mortgage is gone - phew. No we can move on with what we want to do to our new home.

Yesterday we all got in together and cleaned the front verandah of all the boxes and cleaned it up really nice. (well as good as you can with pavers - oh I hate pavers) Alot of it was shed stuff and some for inside so it really just moved inside and now I have to find more spots but we are getting there.

Mum I have done about 4 more trailer loads of clipping since you have gone and i can see why you were having fun - it is great to get into the gardens and work out what is in there and neaten it all up.

After we cleaned we went to the football - sharks verses titans were playing in Darwin - woo hoo very good night although they did not cater for the huge crowds that turned up - thousands and thousands of people - would love to know how many were there.

Today we went to the pony club to have a look at what they do - looks like great fun and Kirsty and ashley will enjoy it very much - now to find a horse. We did look at one the other day that christine had emailed us - it looked promising - we will see.

When we got home from the pony club the girls decided to set uptent and play with visions of sleeping the night outside - they made it to 8pm and then they were tucked neatly in there beds - lol

well a week gone already - yesterday we went to our friends caleb 30th birthday party - started with them all jumping from a DC3 and it was amy's first jump - so pretty cool to be jumping with about 30 others - how lucky was she - they all made a ring around her as she fell - so she was buzzing all night- we then all stayed for some drinks and nibblies - ended up being a very nice night.
Darren and Michelle and their two boys cameround this morning at nine and cooked us all breakfast , that was really nice and zack enjoyed riding on the quad with kirsty.
We are off to the rock climbing place in darwin now to meet caleb and amy for his birthday again - a smaller gathering this time to just chill out a bit.

I have also taken some pictures of the chooks - cant believe how fast they grow - OMG so big already. My camera gone flat so will postthem up soon.

where do the weekends go????

Man I wish we had 3 day weekends all the time - although I guess if we did we would want 4 day weekends - where would it stop.

I have no photos to post but I have had a busy week and weekend and of course did not get all I wanted to do done.

My week was filled work which is not too bad phone wise so I used the opportunity to get stuck into stuff I really needed to do.

My weekend well saturday was spent all day with all of us getting stuck into unpacking all the boxes in our rooms - so now all 3 bedrooms you can now see the bed and all boxes unpacked. Feels good. Now have to work on the loungeroom and all the stuff dumped on the verandah. We also went and hired a little fertiliser machine to hook up behind the mower and fertilised one of the paddocks .
Sunday took it a little easier and spent the day planting some vegies in my garden - so far I have got planted - corn, zucchini's, tomatoes, onion, cucumbers, pumpkin , watermelon, brocolli, beetroot, and carrots. Lets see if I get some fruit - so far so good.

That is my post today I am finding it hard to write about my wonderful weekend while listening to the reports on tele - from the bushfires in Victoria. Horrible horrible tragedy and our prayers and thoughts are with all those families tonight who are homeless and greiving for loved ones. So so sad.

our night

well not as bad as I thought - no where near as bad as last time - or maybe more prepared. They woke me at about 5am with their bellowing bu I slept good. We are home now after school and still abit of bellowing happening so not sure how long that goes for - will let you know. Off horseriding tonight - will keep you posted.

you never know

well you never know what might happen on the driver farm. A friend of ours Tristan has worked on cattle farms before and he is working for us at the moment - he dropped steve at home this evening and said "righto" lets castrate the little bull - OMG off we went - spend half an hour running around like idiots to seperate the cows - done - then it took all 3 of us to get the bull on the ground - yes I am sure you have funny pictures about now running around in your head - and you would be right - oh my is he a strong little fellow - I had the head bent round under my arm and holding his nostrils - eeeeeee tristan was in the middle doing the deed and steve on the end with his legs - and sorry no photos I had my hands full. Kirsty and ashley did very well and did not get upset - as we prepped them first on why we needed to have a little operation on doolan. They then fed all the cows the cows treats.
So long story short doolan is now seperated again from hismother and we may have another sleepless night - although I have my ears plugs this time and they are not in the paddock under my window. will update you tomorrow.
