new home

Well we finally got the keys to our new home yesterday - I promise to find my camera and take some photos. What an exciting day.
We did not move anything as we didnt get the keys till 3pm and I still had to go to my fortnightly scrap(well gasbag) session (I didnt do any scrapping) at Stampcraft.

But I will tell you a little funny story for our first day. Need to set the scene a little. - Well the house is in the middle of the block with paddocks all around for the animals. And the house has a little grassed area with lovely gardens and a little spa in the backyard that is enced off so the cows cannot get in. We had arrived the night before we got our house as I knew the owner was not here anymore and I was worried about the cows so steve and I went round and fed them and also used the time to have a really good look around so we went through the little gate at the back of the house to do this. Had a lovely time.
The next day around 1pm I went to the house to show a couple of people from our horse club - Wongabilla the paddocks to see if they want to adjist a couple of horses over the wet. And while I was waiting for them I dismanltled a big gate that was annoying us as the previous owners ad little dogs so they pinned them in the backyard. Anyway I pulled it down so we had free acsess to the back verandah. I then left and we waited for the real estate to ring and say keys are ready. So about 3:30pm steve and I excitingly drove down the driveway and parked near the house and stopped and steve looked in our backyard and yes you guessed it the big bull and 2 of the heifers were in the back yard - OMG where are the rest of them - I slowly trun around and another heifer is in my orchard - Yell to steve to quickly run down to the front gate and close it - had visions of meeting all the neighbours looking for escaped cows - lovley first meeting. I run around counting all the cows - thankfully all there so now our first attempt of rounding the cows and putting them in the paddock - talk about learning quickly. Not too much damage done to our gardens. On closer inspection the small gate we had gone through the previous night we did not latch properly and the gate I took down gave them free passage to walk right out the front gate. LOL what an adventure.

So anyway after that we opened our house and both of us put one foot inside the door together and looked through the house - then sat outside and had a few drinks. Phewwwww.
